Elijah LeMar

My name is Elijah LeMar and I am a sophomore at UMass Amherst. I just completed my first year with YEAA as a branch manager and now I am returning as an executive. I ran an $80,000 business which took an abundance of work and sacrifice but was extremely rewarding and fun. Through this internship, I was fortunate enough to work with 30+ customers that I completed projects for. I also hired over 20 high school and college students this past summer. This was the perfect opportunity for me because I am a firm believer in taking advantage of opportunities and stepping out of your comfort zone. You need to be out of your comfort zone to grow and with this internship it really tests you in those areas. I developed a very positive mindset through my experiences this summer. I strived to be the best version of myself I could be every day. The reason I took the internship was because of the real-world experience and the mentorship that comes with it. I didn't realize it would have such a positive impact on my life.
