Austin Hines
My name is Austin Hines and I was part of Young Entrepreneurs Across America during 2018, which was my freshman summer of college. I ran a $155,000 business, profiting around $30,000. What inspired me to join Young Entrepreneurs was that I was looking for an opportunity that summer that was on the entrepreneurial side of the world where I could also make some money to help with school. YEAA allowed these two things to come together. I learned a plethora of skills from this internship, I feel like I’m a totally different person from doing YEAA. I learned communication skills, management skills of myself and others, and sales of products and services, as well as myself and my ideas. Even more importantly, the thing I got out of YEAA was the relationships that I made throughout the program. Whether that’s with my mentor, friends at training, or employees that I hired. These people I have learned from every single day since and they keep me inspired to do what I'm doing even now. I think YEAA got me to where I'm at today and has created the person that I am now, and I'm still growing. I think that's one thing that I am very appreciative of YEAA, it shaped me into a human being that I'm proud of. I'm very proud of the person I am from that experience. Anybody can do this internship, I was a design student from a small town and wasn’t into business, but I went to YEAA and won Entrepreneur of the Year. If you are interested in doing the YEAA internship at all and you are in the design world, art world, nursing world, or any other worlds, then do it. It's going to be an amazing experience, you're going to make some money out of it, and you're going to learn life lessons that you'll keep with you forever.
